The weather

About 50 inches of rain, and no real dry season

Spartanburg County gets about 50 inches of rain in a normal year. The Upstate has two rainy peaks, March and July, and no true dry season. It averages more than 24 days a year with an inch of rain or more.

Hail shows up mostly from March through May, and thunderstorms run through the summer. A gutter here works hard all year, and a weak part shows up fast.

Spartanburg side

Spartanburg, Boiling Springs, Duncan, Lyman and nearby

Spartanburg County is growing fast. It ranked third in the nation for growth in residential permits in early 2025, and new subdivisions are going up around Duncan and Lyman. County planners expect about 150,000 more residents by 2040.

That means new houses that need gutters, and older homes across the county with gutters that have given out. We work on both.

Greenville side

Greenville, Greer, Simpsonville, Mauldin and Taylors

Greenville County issued 1,368 new-home permits in the first half of 2026, up almost 19 percent from the same stretch a year earlier. It still leads the Upstate in homebuilding, even as a growing share of new houses goes up in neighboring counties, Spartanburg among them.

On new builds the usual call is gutters once the roof edge is finished. On older houses it is overflow, a sagging gutter or soft fascia.
