What is wrong

Find the real cause before replacing anything

A gutter that overflows is not always a gutter problem. The cause can be slope, an undersized gutter, too few downspouts, a clogged outlet, rotten fascia, or ground that drains toward the house.

Valera looks at the whole roof edge and the ground below it. If the cause is something we do not do, like the grade of the yard, we say so.

  • Overflow in heavy rainOften too small a gutter or too few downspouts, not just leaves.
  • Gutters pulling awayUsually soft fascia behind them, or an old hanger that gave up.
  • Water at the foundationDownspouts that drop at the wall soak the ground beside your house.
  • Wet basement or crawlspaceRoof water near the foundation is one thing we check first.
  • Stains on sidingStaining below the edge often means water is running behind the gutter.

What we install

New seamless gutters, sized for your roof

We install 5-inch or 6-inch K-style seamless gutters, one piece per run with no joints along it. Fewer joints means fewer places to leak.

3x4 downspouts carry about twice the water of a standard 2x3. We size and place them so the roof drains where it should, and we remove your old gutters.

  • Residential and commercialHomes first, and commercial buildings too.
  • Old gutters come downWe remove and dispose of the old gutters and downspouts.
  • New run goes upSeamless gutters, sealed corners and downspouts pointed away from the house.

Fascia, soffit, leaves

The parts behind the gutter matter too

Fascia is the board along the roof edge that the gutter hangs on. Soffit is the panel under the overhang that lets the attic breathe. Both get hurt when gutters overflow.

Leaf guards cut down on cleaning. No guard ends it, and pine needles and oak leaves behave differently. We tell you honestly if guards fit your trees.

  • Fascia board replacementSoft or rotted boards are replaced, then wrapped in aluminum.
  • Vinyl soffitNew soffit, vented where the attic needs air.
  • Leaf guardsFewer cleanings, not zero. Good on some lots, a poor fit on others.
  • Fully insuredCity Installation LLC carries insurance on the work.

Questions

Quick answers

Why are my gutters overflowing?
Usually the gutter is clogged, undersized, pitched wrong or has too few downspouts. Rotten fascia and sagging runs also cause it. Valera checks all of these at the estimate and tells you which one it is.
Why are my gutters pulling away from the house?
Usually the fascia board behind them has gone soft, or the hangers have let go. Valera looks at the board at the estimate, and a soft board should be replaced before a new gutter goes up.
Do leaf guards mean I never clean gutters again?
No. Guards reduce cleaning, they do not end it. Pine needles and small debris can still collect. We tell you plainly whether guards suit your trees before you decide.
Why is water pooling at my foundation?
Usually a downspout that empties at the wall, a clogged outlet or a gutter that spills over. We size and place 3x4 downspouts and point them away from the house. If the ground itself slopes toward the house, we tell you; grading is not our work.
Is the estimate really free?
Yes. Estimates are free. Call (864) 800-9663 or send a request with photos.
